Actually, if my student loan was forgiven, I would also be paying taxes into the fund which led to the forgiveness. I’ve been working and paying taxes since I was 12, I’ve also paid more than half of the loans off, but the interest rates keep rising and inflation takes away any ability to get ahead. At this point, I will be paying that debt literally until I retire. No university should cost so much that someone has to be in debt their entire working life, just to pay it off
