Stop hitting on female entrepreneurs
I’m a female entrepreneur who runs an online business and my brothers, I am weary.
I am approached sometimes multiple times a day, by men asking for my time, attention, and energy. It’s happened hundreds of times in the almost five years I’ve been expanding my online visibility.
Every time, I have to stop to spend valuable time and emotional energy to decide, what’s this man’s motivation? Do I reach out because this could be a potential client, or should I ignore him because I’ve been burned before? Is he going to be respectful or am I going to be subject to his projection of insecurity, guilt, shame, and mind games?
Dudes, we are so tired of fielding your requests.
Before I dive deeper, let me state most women entrepreneurs are on social media for two reasons:
First, to pursue our passion and make a living.
Second, to connect with an inner circle of peeps we already know.
