Are you seeking sameness or Oneness?

Recently, I made what I thought was an insignificant comment on another writer’s post. I gently pointed out their assertion about all business owners didn’t apply to my situation as an entrepreneur. The author responded graciously and wished me and my business well.

However, another reader quickly jumped on my comment and lashed out — blaming small businesses like mine who received a PPP loan, for the downfall of our entire economic system. Stated emphatically my liberal views are the reason our country is going to hell in a handbasket.

Although I’ve interacted with dissenting voices online before, this person’s comments really got under my skin. I laid in bed, thinking of all the great comebacks I could post to put him in his place. My ego is much quieter now than in the past, but my inner warrior still rises to the occasion, when it feels threatened or misunderstood.

It took a long walk in nature and thirty minutes of quiet meditation this morning to calm intense emotional stirrings, to temper the drive to show him all the reasons his thinking is wrong, and I am right. Whew, our human drive to defend our beliefs is fierce!

As I connected in meditation to Higher Consciousness, bringing forward this situation and asking for an aligned way forward — the message I received was sameness is not Oneness.
