Because the younger generations don't want to sell their body, mind and spirit to the US government to be cannon fodder for overseas wars that only serve to benefit wealthy military contractors and politicians. And good for them. All countries across the world should begin downsizing their militaries, just as we downsizing nuclear arsenals.
