Empaths: don’t allow your inner helper to become a distraction
As sensitive people, we’re naturally drawn to help and give to others. We see a need and jump right in to lend our strong intellects and loving hearts.
This can be really amazing, but I’ve noticed in my own experience and with the coaching clients I work with, our inner helper can easily take over.
Become an unhealthy way of distracting ourselves from focusing on our own needs, first.
Case in point, one of my strengths is my ability to hear what someone else is searching for, what they are manifesting. I file it away and keep one eye out for synchronicities and resources, which often show up.
I enter into co-manifestation with them, amplifying their intention.
Many times, within just a few days, I’m speaking to another person or scrolling online and I come across a match. Which I then excitedly pass on. It’s a fun game of following the energy.
Yet, I realized I’ve been playing this game for others as a distraction of not focusing on my own manifestation. I’ve been tapping into others’ dreams somewhat to the detriment of pursuing my own.
It’s easy for us to do, as we genuinely care about other people.
