Focusing your inner pusher on what really matters…
You hear it, that persistent voice inside you goading you on. Reminding you of your never-ending to-do list, enticing you with empty promises of happiness, recognition and fulfillment if you just do one more thing…
It’s not your fault this inner voice exists, but ironically, it is your responsibility.
Ambition is a fundamental drive of our species. Just imagine the person who decided to build the first pyramid (unless you believe they were created by an advanced alien race, which is also cool by me).
I mean, the audacity. To think, I’m going to create this massive structure that’s never been built before. I’m going to assemble tens of thousands of my fellow human beings to make this vision come to life.
Or, going to outer space. Having such a strong curiosity that one would blast off in a small capsule powered with the fire of a million suns in order to find out what’s out there.
The inner pusher led our species to expand out from Africa in all directions. Small bands of people putting one foot in front of the other to explore new territory, settling across most of our planet.
And let us not forget about mapping the human DNA genome. Honing in on the micro-level to discover what makes us tick. Ambitious to say the least.
