Having lived in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex for over a decade, it is very different than the backwoods reputation it often receives. It’s a fully metropolitan city, with wide diversity, in terms of population, opportunities and culture. Yes, it has it’s problems and it’s rednecks, to be sure. But having lived in many other places in the country, the ratio is about the same of idiots to cool folks. One thing that makes Texas great is the weather - I know Cali is known for this too.
