How Conspiracy Theories Hold Us in the Drama Triangle

I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person. One of the early books my parents bought me was a compendium of stories about the Loch Ness monster, the Bermuda Triangle, Bigfoot, UFOs, and the disappearance of Amelia Earhart.

I read it from cover to cover, searching for underlying reasons to explain these mysteries. I was eight.

In college, I was a regular X-Files fan, never missed an episode. Eager to learn what new diabolical plan the smoking man cooked up for Agents Scully and Mulder. I binge-watched Ancient Aliens — some fascinating ideas, many of which seem to make complete sense.

Stargate is one of my all-time favorite flicks, I imagined myself in the character of Daniel. Nothing’s better than an intergalactic conspiracy theory.

I took a two-year deep dive into the teachings of David Wilcock on Gaia. Learned about secret Russian technologies, the intergalactic base on the dark side of the moon, and many more exciting tidbits to tickle the imagination.

I’ve read about the Illuminati, Q-Anon, Deep State, and researched the Masons, as my grandfather was an active member.

To give you a sense of where I’m coming from, I’ve been fully immersed in many modern and ancient conspiracy theories.
