To all the tech gurus out there, I am infinitely grateful for you. Because you applied your innovative, forward-thinking brains, my life is easier and better in so many ways.

Because of the Internet, social media and programs like Zoom, I’ve been able to connect with people on the other side of the globe who I would have never had a chance to know. I love your apps, thank you for putting so many resources literally at my fingertips. And let us not forget through the power of technology, I’m also able to binge watch cat videos.

Then there’s the flip side of technology.

WHEN THE PROGRAM YOU ARE WORKING ON WON’T DO WHAT YOU NEED IT TO! AND YOU HAVE A MEETING IN 5 MINUTES, AHHHHH!

As a highly sensitive person whose brain is innately wired to notice all the subtleties, I admit I’ve struggled with perfectionism. When you can see everything, you see everything that’s right and everything that’s wrong. Especially that slightly crooked image or that typo.

Recently, it seems that one of the three email apps I have on my phone will not display my messages. It’s become so common that I’m now placing bets on which one…
