I agree with so much of what you’ve written, especially the calling out of inequitable systems, cronyism and privilege. I’ve very much in favor of UBI or a similar safety net, so people don’t have to choose between eating and receiving medical care. Yes, the super wealthy who throw around the term abundance mindset are tone deaf and many times being exploitive. But let’s say for the average small business or solopreneur, working through our individual and collective wounding around money, worth and value is important. Feeling like I didn’t deserve to be financially sustained let me down a path of suffering for many years - because this is the messaging we receive. Make more money! But, it’s really not for you, it’s for those who ‘deserve’ it or who ‘earned’ it. It’s been important for me to recognize that we are stewards of money, not the owners of it. Some people are terrible stewards, they use money for power, control, manipulation, to benefit themselves but not others. I do believe money can be used positively if people who are committed to the greater good are stewarding it more often. This is an important time and an important, if slow shift is taking place. More and more people are not only speaking out, but offering different solutions. I believe we will get to the place where money becomes less important to us as a species, but don’t expect to see that in my lifetime. So how do we set the foundations for a shift into collective rights and equity, right now? The whole system we’ve been engaging in for thousands of years is not going to shift overnight. We can take small steps, then another and another. Those are feeding a line of bullshit are catalysts for the tearing down of the old system, so all people can be nurtured and supported, simply because we exist, not because we earned it.
