I am a spiritual teacher, and I co-lead a mostly healthy spiritual community. Am I a perfect spiritual leader? Not by a long shot. Does the mission of uplifting and empowering my clients and community members comes first? Absolutely. Have I become jaded about the spiritual entrepreneurship mentality? Yep. Am I taking steps to leave that structure and build something different in 2022? You betcha. These are important questions to ask - questioning anything and everyone must be seen as healthy in our field, when for a long time (centuries), questioning has been discouraged. And yet, there is still space for a new mentality to emerge, and a role for spiritual leadership in society. Everyone is jaded about nearly everything right now, as we should be, and yet, we can also hold hope and keep trying to do better. Thank you for bringing this forth.
