I believe it will take a lot more than 5% income tax to fund everything that is collectively needed. Zero income tax on the moderately and ultra wealthy means no schools, no roads and no infrastructure. We have to address the fact that capitalism is an extractive and exploitative system - that rewards those at the ‘top’ on the backs of those on the ‘bottom.’ Thinking everyone is just going to do the right thing in a libertarian ideal that focuses on only the individual instead of the system is exactly what we have now, that’s not working.
