I Don’t Need to Punish Others, or Myself
The Universe isn’t punishing us either.
I confess. Yesterday I argued with people on the Internet.
This used to be a regular, daily occurrence, but recently I’ve been limiting time on social media. As an intuitive empath, I don’t even need to scroll through Facebook to feel the dense energy emanating from our world.
But yesterday, I slipped.
Perhaps it was the man who stated he would not be donating to a well-known charity because they were feeding ‘illegal aliens’, not just Americans. I couldn’t let this go without pointing out that every human being is equally valuable and deserves food, safety and shelter.
I was super triggered by his response of ‘whatever’.
Or maybe it was the male business coach posting fervently to an audience of female coaches they needed to reject the masculine ways of doing business and learn to receive. I couldn’t seem to let that irony pass either. It would be like me deciding to make money teaching and coaching about being anti-racist, while I’m still unpacking my own participation in a racist system.
I was angry that in the name of empowerment, men are publicly shaming women for not learning to receive enough and thereby limiting their success, instead of addressing…
