I fully and readily admit that I’m the toddler of which you speak, with good intentions but a whole lot of clueless as to how to actually move the needle on real issues that impact BIPOC. Although I can say I never have or will write a piece on the racism of peanut butter sandwiches.

Like any toddler, I’m busy observing those around me, reading, researching and listening to black voices, donating, amplifying people of color on the platforms I am privileged to lead, speaking up to educate other white people. I am learning how to walk so as quickly as possible, I will be able to run beside you.

I know you are exhausted but please give us a chance to do better. Many of us out there do have a heart for true equity…
