I grew up in the Christian church with a wonderful childhood experience, became an atheist for about 15 years, then had a spiritual reawakening, took a deep dive into metaphysics and other world religions and more recently came across the teachings of Abraham.
No matter what belief system I was embracing or not embracing, there were always things I agreed with and things I did not agree with.
I found both uplifting and disturbing aspects of the Bible, the Koran, the Urantia book, Taoism, Buddhism, metaphysics, ancient alien theory, astrology as well as the teachings of Abraham. Things that didn’t work for me, were hypocritical or in conflict with other teachings.
I’ve come to realize this is because all teachings (which I believe originate from one God, one Source) are brought through human vessels. All of the writers of the Bible channeled Divine wisdom, just as Esther is now, as Buddha did thousands of years ago.
What happens is the human/ego vessel interprets what they receive through their own individual and cultural lens. The person who is writing down and teaching about spirituality has their own biases, fears, assumptions that color what comes through. We are not capable on this physical plane of fully describing Divine energy, we have limited understanding, remembrance and wording that cannot possibly translate.
Therefore, to say that one teaching is 100% correct and all others are misguided or evil is a human based, limiting judgment. No one knows exactly what happens after we die or where we came from. We develop ideas, theories, stories, doctrine and dogma in an attempt to feel secure, because the fear of dying is our largest shadow. And then, we try to influence and convert others to our way of believing because there is power in numbers.
Anyone can hold a BELIEF about spiritually and I will support their right to do so, however until we pass from this physical plane, we won’t have a KNOWING…
