I often read and enjoy your work Tim, however this project is a little off. It touts the same idea of pulling yourself up by the bootstraps and meritocracy that has been perpetuated for so long.

We don’t do anything in a vacuum and the choices our politicians, religious leaders, corporate executives and social media platforms make, actually impact real people.

Especially black, indigenous, people of color and those born into a lower socioeconomic class — some will never have the opportunities that your friends do.

To tell your readers, it’s simply your mindset, get over yourself and work harder to become a millionaire, is harmful and privileged.

Do we have responsibility for our lives? Absolutely. Can every person achieve everything they want by turning a blind eye to unfair and suppressive systems? Nope.
