I think you may have missed the point of the book - which is after all the striving for what we think we want, fundamentally we come back to the same old self we always were. Nothing external will fill the void, ever. I think why people get upset with this book (as I also did) is we’ve been promised a happy ending, if we only make the right choices and have the right things, but what if there isn’t a happy ending externally? Food for thought…
