I understand and honor your perspective, however I respectfully disagree that only native people were born into this energy.

My culture has no teachings and no path for a person who expresses these characteristics, so until about six years ago, I thought something was wrong with me. Watching the video of an elder and chieftain in Oklahoma helped me to understand what had long been a struggle is actually a gift.

I don’t imagine that I understand it, have mastered it or pretend that I’ve studied this role from those who know it so intimately. I have not.

I am simply sharing my own experiences and what’s happened as a result is that many other people from a variety of ethic backgrounds have reached out to tell me it also resonates with them.

What I have observed in my life is that Spirit works in mysterious ways and because we are entering the age of consciousness, many more are being born with gifts that likely used to be expressed by only a few. Our planet is at a crucial threshold, we need everyone right now.

I am completely open to learning from beginner’s mind, but after being closed off for decades, I will no longer shut down my gifts or deny who I really am.

Being heyoka is only one dimension of our complex being, not the totality.

You are welcome to reach out to me at tunedin@perceptivesouls.com to continue this respectful dialogue…
