I would take this line of reasoning one more step and state that the ideals of capitalism, marriage and childrearing are starting to look hollow to both men and women - the economic and societal structures we've set up, particularly in the U.S. aren't good for hardly anyone - deep stress, long hours, lack of life-work balance, all for what? To consume one more thing? I think many people, not just young women are questioning the myth of 'having it all'
