I’m still absorbing all you wrote, but as a person who’s struggled with chronic back pain most of my life - I’m a skeptical that the way we sit, sleep or move has absolutely nothing to do with it. When I saw an X-ray of my back and neck, shifted to the side and with a combination of chiropractic manipulation, physical therapy and being aware of how much my head is always leaning over my phone, the pain went away. It’s not because I thought my way out of it, anymore than I can think my way out of fibromyalgia. Sometimes, it’s a structural or even genetic issue and I think it’s dangerous for alternative practitioners to completely throw out all standard medical practices because your convinced it’s only mindset, a placebo or about stress. This could cause someone with a serious injury to not seek the help they need - speaking from experience with multiple alternative doctors. Be careful about giving medical advice, do no harm is the key principle and there’s a reason they call it ‘practicing’ medicine, because we still don’t understand a whole lot about our body…
