Interesting stats, what stood out to me is the spending of $80 million on veteran’s health care. Why then every night, do I see commercials for the wounded warriors project organization, asking for donations so disabled veterans can get the care they need? If someone goes to combat to ‘protect our country’s interests’ and loses a limb or is confined to a wheelchair, they shouldn’t want for anything, ever in their life.
According to the article, $154 million dollars of that budget is in the form of tax breaks for employers who offer health care to their employees, not actual money spent…
