It’s ok to be grateful and ambitious
For most of human history, we’ve embraced the idea of polarity, opposites, this or that. I believe it’s time for us to move into the energy of subtleties, gradients, a continuum of ideas, principles and states of being.
For example, we’ve long been told that we can either be in a state of gratitude or in the energy of ambition, but very few writers or teachers discuss how to embrace both.
To be highly ambitious in this day and age could bring up images of visionary CEOs, driving their employees at any cost to create the next moonshot project. Or, a selfish man or woman pursuing their dreams to the detriment of themselves and others.
That type of energy will not likely resonate with many empathic and sensitive people, who tend towards the other end of the polarity — gratitude.
Particularly in the spiritual and personal growth field, we are constantly reminded by memes and platitudes to practice being grateful.
Gratitude is a supremely important energy. It lifts and expands the heart chakra, opens us to mindfulness and presence. Absolutely, take time often to reflect upon how far you’ve come, be thankful for those in your life and the abundance that continues to flow in.
