I’ve been working from home for almost four years now, three years as a single person and mostly I loved it. I can’t even explain the dread I would feel when the alarm clock rang and I knew I had to spend hours in rush hour traffic, deal with some co-workers I couldn’t stand and unrealistic expectations from corporate employers. As a WFH business owner, I mostly make my own schedule, can rest when I need to, work longer some days, stop and run an errand. I did miss physical touch, but that was because I was single, not because I worked from home. Not everyone experienced PTSD, I think the pandemic was a huge wake up call to many who never questioned there could be another way - and a lot of them are not going back to hustle culture
