I’ve dated several men who were older than me from 13–21 years. I was more mature in some ways and they were more mature in others, people are complex. I’ve always felt like an old soul since childhood and would often sit and engage with my parents and their friends like an equal in the conversation (in some ways, but not all). What is important is to reflect on whether someone who dates much older people may have some unresolved parental wounds, as could someone dating much younger people have some unresolved issues with their children…
