I’ve watched Dave Chappell’s specials multiple times, going in with an open mind to honor his gifts and his perspective. However, what I found is his intention is to divide, point blank. We have enough division in our world, but if that floats someone’s boat, by all means. And if a woman decides to look away, while misogyny rains supreme, that’s on her. I won’t.

Why would you ask another marginalized group to switch their focus from fighting to be accepted as equals and trying to stay alive, just as black people are?

I understand calling out whites to use our privilege to affect change, but the LGTBQ community does not owe you anything.

If they do stand up for black people, what will black people offer to them in return? Hopefully not more transphobia and homophobia…
