Neoliberals are not responsible for the decline in social services, conservatives are always the ones telling people to get a job, pull yourself up by the bootstraps. All you have to do is look at Bernie’s or Andrew Yang’s recent presidential campaigns to see solid solutions to healthcare for all, UBI, etc, which most Republicans will decry is a ‘handout.’ To which I reply, almost everyone pays taxes (those who are able and eligible to work) and the money that goes into the IRS is the taxpayers’ money, our government officials are simply stewards of those resources.
