Ode to Lightworkers

Since my spiritual re-awakening eight years ago, I’ve heard the term ‘lightworker’ time and again.

What does that mean exactly?

There are as many definitions as stars in the sky, but one thing I think everyone can agree on, is this Earthly plane sometimes feels dark and hopeless. We watch people and our planet suffering. At times, it’s hard to understand why any soul would choose to come to this place.

Being a light in a pool of darkness is a difficult and rewarding mission.

It takes all the strength you can muster to speak up when you witness injustice, when your voice is often the minority opinion. Great inner and outer compassion is required to reach for a high vibrational response when you’re angry, sad, or tired. Especially when other people unconsciously, or consciously, choose dissonance.

Those awakening, who at some point in their human journey, recognize their power to illuminate — are growing in number. We came here during this moment on the Divine timeline to shift momentum.

To not only pray for peace, equity, respect and understanding, but take action in our daily lives to manifest it into form. You know, light + worker? Cosmic elbow grease must be applied on the third rock from the sun.
