Of course we’re all to a certain extent influenced by the times we lived in and who raised us. As a GenXer who cares very much about our world and works every day to do something about it (I’ve had to also let go of the idealism that it is mine to ‘fix’ singlehandedly’; I was raised by Boomers. As a matter of fact, almost every GenX was raised and influenced by Boomers, only half of Millennials were raised by Boomers, most were raised by Xers. To reduce the traits of each person down to the specific time period they grew up is a superficial exercise. Was I influenced in some ways by the music and popular culture of my time? Sure. Does that define my life? Nope.
