Part of the problem is that jobs that men have traditionally held were considered ‘challenging’ and therefore well compensated. The jobs that women traditionally held were considered ‘hobbies’ and therefore vastly underpaid. I dare you to do the job of an RN for a week, then come back and share how easy it was. Or, be a single, working mother for a month. The issue isn’t that women have chosen the wrong careers, the issue is men have long devalued women’s contributions to society because of entitlement and you are no different. It’s called patriarchy, in case you wondered…
