Yesterday, I watched a movie called Equals. A sci-fi, futurist tale that explores what might happen if we genetically engineered our emotions out of our DNA. The premise was that strong emotions were responsible for most of the conflict and chaos on our planet, even our almost destruction.
It would be so much better if we could just use logic and reasoning, right?
From the perspective of a deep feeler, this version of our future reality felt so cold, detached and avoidant. No physical contact, no smiling, no crying, no laughter, everyone living in their own separate pod (ok, maybe that’s a little bit of heaven for introverts). But absolutely no sex. Talk about dystopian.
