Respectfully, it is not a woman's job to create an environment for a man to show his emotional side. Each person is responsible for their own emotionally well-being and expressiveness. Women are really exhausted by having to manage our own emotions and the emotions of men, it's called emotional labor and we take on more than our fair share of it on Earth. Holding space for your partner is different than dividing up the relationship into gender roles, it's time for men to learn emotional intelligence, just as women have had to learn how to provide for themselves and be self-protective.
