So, what exactly would you have me do? Pull my grandmother out of the dementia care facility and take care of her myself round the clock with no medical training? I would have to quit my business and her savings would have to continue to pay for both of us to live, which would be more than she is paying now. Or, are you suggesting an even worse scenario, that once someone reaches that stage of mental confusion and physical disability, they don’t deserve to live any longer? Old age and genetics are not her fault, they’re not anyone’s fault. We will all decline until the time our body and our soul decides to transition. No one else should make that determination for another. Your approach to elderhood is callous and self-centered, all I can say is you will get to experience this at some point and then you will know for yourself.
