Something I will never do, even though I wish to reach a larger audience, not because I give a damn about vanity metrics, but because I know from the past five years as a writer and coach that what flows through me helps people to empower themselves. And, releasing the kraken aids my healing.

I’ve come to realize it’s not an either/or. Either I completely reject our capitalist system and go off to live in a tiny house in the woods (which I came one week from doing), or I must to be manipulative and shady in my business practices.

Nope, I get to choose what works for me as an entrepreneur and what doesn’t. I’m not going to throw everything out the window because of one thing I don’t like. I’m going to take what resonates and leave the rest.

It’s fine to speak to people’s challenges or their desires, provided you’re not sticking the knife in further or dangling some unobtainable carrot. People read because it’s relevant. People trade money for someone else’s offering because it’s relevant.

I honor each person’s path.
