The Dance Between Fear & Intuition

We cannot talk about intuition without addressing the elephant in the room — fear.

Fear is a primal emotion, activated by the primitive part of our brain and our body, to ensure our survival. No one likes being in the energy of fear, however, none of us would be here right now, if it weren’t for fear.

Somewhere down the line, if our ancestors ran away or defended themselves, saved their own life by making a reactionary decision, which allowed them to live on, procreate then viola, here we are!

One of the top questions I’ve been asked is, how can I tell the difference between fear and true inner knowing?

My pat answer used to be fear makes your mind and body contract and intuition allows your mind and body to expand. Sounds good right?

I’ve come to understand that’s only partially correct. Because sometimes we receive an intuitive download that feels downright scary.

Like when I received the nudge that it was time to leave certain relationships, jobs or even move across the United States to a new place, where I had no family or friends.

I knew it was time to make a change and yet, I still felt a deep fear of the unknown. I still wondered with regret, if I made the ‘right choice’.

This may sound like an unpopular opinion, but intuition…
