Or stated differently, the more you make caring for you on all levels (mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually) the more capacity you’ll have to be out in the world.
Right now, we’re inundated with stories, pictures and highly emotional debate about traumatic events. If we choose to view it as such, our global society appears to be breaking apart at the seams. And yet, what if current events are actually the most powerful catalyst we’ve ever had to release our addiction to fast-paced, get-it-done, have it all now culture?
So many people I know are reporting a type of soul fatigue. A weariness that no amount of sleep, zoning out in front of the TV, or disconnecting from social media can cure. In shamanic tradition, this level of spiritual exhaustion was seen as necessary in order to prepare oneself for the vital experience of soul retrieval.
When we go through an individual or collective trauma, it’s said a small piece of our soul goes missing; hides out in another realm until it’s safe to return.
Nothing feels safe right now, but eventually it will. And your soul will be ready to come back into wholeness, the act of which infuses you with renewed vitality…
