This is the fundamental problem with the teachings of Christianity. As soon as anyone elevates themselves above others because they know the ‘truth’ and have to save those who are lost and unaware — you have crossed over into psychological and emotional manipulation, the realm of the ego.

I completely support anyone’s right to choose the faith that uplifts their life. The obsessive need to proselytize, that’s where Christianity took a wrong turn.

In order to coexist peacefully in this world, we need to stop trying to make everyone like us. We need to learn to respect diversity. You do you, and leave other people alone.

The Christian church is failing heavily on this front, which is ironic because the teachings of Christ were all about honoring diversity.
