Toxic positivity is toxic, to be sure. Especially as an empath who’s also struggled with anxiety and depression, I believe in looking straight at what’s real in each moment, without spiritually by-passing. However, the term lightworker is often misunderstood and misused. The way I understand it, is a person who is willing to face and heal the darkness within themselves and within our human cultures and structures, often by illuminating dysfunctional patterning. It’s not about being only ‘love and light’ although those things are ok in the right context. It’s about being a sacred mirror and often a sacred activist, to affect change that benefits all humankind, to the best of your ability…
