What is so sad to me is that soldiers would track kills in the first place. Killing someone is not an honorable act, no matter the reason. It may be necessary in extreme situations (our government deciding to wage war is not generally a necessary act, but more often a political and financial one). No one should be proud of how many people they’ve killed.
