What strikes me about this article is that first, you are right that the black trans person who did essentially the same thing as their white counterparts should not have been fired. Second, why is there no call out against Dave Chappell? He calls women bitches, which hurts black women. He denigrates gay people, which anyone with empathy could see hurts gay people, even more so gay people of color. Comedy is one thing, however for a company to pay someone millions of dollars, regardless of their color, to denigrate and bring hatred against others, is an energy our world doesn’t need any longer. When I see white people, especially white men spreading hate, I speak up, I say no. Why aren’t you doing the same for a black man who’s spreading hate? How long will we allow wealthy, popular black men (comedians, rappers, actors) to not only call, but treat black women like bitches? Skin color is not the only element at play here.
