When I was in college, I completed an education degree all the way up to student teaching. We then had to go in and observe multiple classrooms and after I saw armed guards in the halls, teachers having to spend their own money just to buy art supplies for their students, I decided to teach for a non profit youth organization instead. I now teach adults online, choose my clients and have peace. I feel so much for the next generation, but not enough to sacrifice my well-being.
