When you experience a quantum leap
I may be dating myself, but one of my favorite 80s sci-fi series was Quantum Leap, in which scientist Dr. Sam Beckett gets trapped in time.
In an attempt to get back to the original date, he took leap after leap, his consciousness landed within the body of others, in various eras and scenarios. Inside the other person, he worked to help them solve a particular challenge, before he moved off to the next embodiment.
Sounds like a perfect role for an empath, right?
Quantum leap can also be defined as an abrupt, extreme change.
In spiritual growth terms, it’s when you’re going along in life with the same beliefs, ideas and understanding and then BOOM! You hear or see something that immediately and radically shifts your way of being.
In one moment, this is who you are and the next, you’re completely new.
Often called a paradigm shift, this light bulb moment causes you to think, feel and act differently. What you now know, you can never unknow. And so you begin the process of re-integration, aligning your worldview with this new information.
This often happens when you’re reviewing your past, trying to discover why something difficult or painful happened.
