While all of these suggestions are helpful for everyone, they won’t prevent or eliminate all chronic illness, like fibromyalgia, arthritis, or anything that is genetic. Dementia is genetic, someone can stave it off for a while with lifestyle, but it will catch up with them eventually — my grandmother who was very healthy otherwise just died from dementia complications. As for stress management, it’s more on broader society to work on that - racism, sexism, prejudice, the American workplace and ‘ideal’ consumption lifestyle is the reason we have so much stress. A lack of social safety net, non-living wage jobs, fast-paced, air, water and chemical pollution, too much emphasis on technology and social media.

Blaming ill health only on individuals, negates that we live with collective issues…
