While it was helpful to receive PPP assistance for the two months right after everything shut down, not everyone who had a PPP loan was ‘raking’ in the dough. And as a business coach myself, only some of my clients were able to continue. Some stopped or even closed their businesses and went back to a day job. I understand the premise of your post and agree that people should strike based on not receiving a living wage, but especially for mom and pops or solopreneurs like me, we should not be lumped into the same category as a multi-billion dollar franchise restaurant, who already had cash to get themselves through, but they decided to take a huge payout instead because shareholders needed their profit.
