Why would being sensitive to the needs of a trans person, or listening to educate themselves, put any doctor at risk? Unless they hold conscious or unconscious bias about how gender ‘should’ be, which simply means a doctor, or anyone has more inner work to do. To insinuate that trans people advocating for themselves puts a cis-gender person’s ‘reputation’ in danger is centering the feelings of cis gender people over that if the safety, the actual lives, of trans people.
