Wonderful and rational interpretation of what is happening, especially the biological factors of fear, tradition and prosperity to be comfortable to change.

In turn for your suggestions about how liberals can better communicate to change hearts and minds, I offer some ideas to caring, rational conservatives like yourself:

- push yourself out of your comfort zone by speaking out against radicalized ideas in your churches, communities and online forums

- sometimes, to affect change, you have to willing to put your group affiliation on the line to do what’s right for all people
-many who have sunk into this indoctrination won’t listen to us, but they will listen to you as a fellow conservative
- call out nastiness, bullying and threatening behavior whenever you see it, because fundamentally (pun intended), that type of behavior hurts everyone, not just libs
- consider voting for Democratic candidates when the alternative is someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene (who actively stirs up fear, white nationalism and violence in conservatives)
- share publicly that you decided to vote for a caring, middle of the road Democrat, rather than a bat-shit crazy Republican
