You are confusing race with ethnicity. We are one race - human with a broad diversity of ethnic backgrounds in which our ancestors genes adapted to our local environment. Race is a social construct. The same way that biological sex (the reproductive and secondary organs we were born with) is different than the social construct of gender — which are the behavioral norms we apply to ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’.
